My husband and I have been using an ERGObaby Sport since our son was about 4 months old which is the recommended age to start using the ERGObaby without the heart2heart infant insert. We started out with front carries. I will admit I was a little intimidated to try getting him on my back at first. I started learning how to put him on my back without assistance when he was about 8 months old. The back carry has been my favorite since I first tried it. Most of my shopping is done with my son on my back in an ERGObaby. He has far more patience when he’s close to me and I don’t have to worry about him trying to run off or escape from the seatbelt on the basket. Our ERGObaby has been to all kinds of stores and hockey and football games. My son was never a good sleeper and we were able to get him to nap in the ERGObaby at sporting events. It saved us on many occasions where we had a sleepy baby and no where to put him down for a nap.
The ERGObaby is an easy to use carrier that can be shared by both parents. The Sport and Performance models adjusts bigger than the other models providing an extra 5″ at the waist and an additional 4″ at the shoulders making it fit a variety of shapes and sizes.
